Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing, installing, or using Family OS ("the App" or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the application immediately.

2. Shared Households & Family Member Access

Family OS is designed for collaborative household coordination. When you invite family members or share a Family Invite Code:

• You confirm that you have permission to invite each member into the shared household.
• All members in your household will be able to view, assign, edit, and mark completed household obligations, bill amounts, and shared documents.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and household invite codes.

3. Payment Handoff & Third-Party Financial Services

Family OS provides deep-linking shortcuts to facilitate payments through official Unified Payments Interface (UPI) applications (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, CRED) and external billing websites:

• Family OS is an organization and productivity tool, not a payment gateway, bank, or payment service provider (PSP).
• All transactions, fund transfers, authentication, and PIN authorizations occur exclusively within your chosen third-party UPI or banking application.
• Family OS does not hold funds, intermediate payments, or charge transaction fees. You are solely responsible for verifying the payee details, recipient VPA/UPI ID, and payment amount before completing any transfer.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. While Family OS provides automated reminder engines and date tracking, you remain responsible for timely payment of utility bills, taxes, school fees, and insurance renewals. In no event shall Family OS be liable for late fees, service disconnections, or bank transfer errors arising from missed notifications or external payment issues.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, reverse engineer its code, attempt unauthorized access to other households, or store unlawful or malicious content in the household document vault.

6. Termination & Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App following updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your household account in settings.
